“Who am I?” is perhaps the hardest question a person can answer. It is the question that, deep down, every patient asks their therapist when they begin a journey together.
Therapeutic work always starts with two people, two stories, two paths that, at a certain point, intersect. From that meeting, both will emerge transformed, somewhat different.
So, I will try to start by saying who I have been up until now.
Becoming a Psychologist, or rather a Psychoanalyst, has always been my dream. I like to think of it as love at first sight, born from a curiosity to understand, to find answers to the many questions that have always accompanied me.
In 2009, I graduated in Dynamic and Clinical Psychology from “La Sapienza” University in Rome, after a thesis experience in Mozambique on “The Inclusion of Disabled Children in Regular Schools.”
After obtaining my professional qualification, I knew I wanted to learn how to explore the roots of suffering. That’s why I chose a psychoanalytic approach and, four years later, I graduated as a Psychoanalyst at SIPRe (Society of Relational Psychoanalysis) in Rome.
Today, as back then, I am convinced that everything is connected, both within and outside of us. For this reason, in my training and professional career, I have worked in several fields. I focused on eating disorders at CIDAP (Italian Centre for Psychogenic Eating Disorders) and sexual dysfunctions at AISC (Italian Association for Clinical Sexology). I participated in assistance projects for at-risk minors and tutoring, including academic, and collaborated with the Mental Health Centre at ASL Roma E, where I began working in psychotherapy.
I have engaged in academic activities at the eCampus Telematic University in Rome, where I was awarded the title of “Subject Expert” for the teachings of Developmental and Educational Psychology; Typical and Atypical Development; Psychometrics and Research Methodology.
Since 2015, I have been working as an Italian Psychoanalyst Psychotherapist in London, where I have the opportunity to meet and work with many people from diverse backgrounds.
Here in London, I have had the privilege of specialising with the best experts in the field, learning the most advanced psychological techniques.
In 2017, I took part in Mindfulness training with Lokadhī Lloyd, which provided me with valuable tools to integrate mindfulness into the therapeutic process. Later, I had the opportunity to collaborate with the North London Buddhist Centre, where I deepened my understanding of mindfulness techniques applied to psychotherapy.
In 2018, I specialised in trauma treatment, completing all three levels of EMDR training, an internationally recognised methodology for its effectiveness in treating traumatic experiences.
In 2022, I furthered my psychoanalytic studies with a Master’s in Relational Psychoanalysis of Family and Groups at SIPRe. This experience allowed me to broaden my perspective on the individual, linking it to family and group dynamics.
I am a member of the BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy), IARPP (The International Association for Relational Psychoanalysis and Psychotherapy), and EMDR UK & Ireland, EMDR Italy, and EMDR Europe. I am also a member of SIPRe (Italian Society for Relational Psychoanalysis).
Curiosity and passion for my work drive me to continuously explore new techniques and multiply perspectives. Every encounter with a patient helps me grow and enriches me in a different way.
Each individual carries a unique and unrepeatable story and vision that deserves to be seen and heard. That is why every therapeutic journey is special, capable of bringing out one’s potential and promoting complete well-being. My goal is to create a safe space where we can explore emotions together, allowing for free expression, far from judgment, to achieve authentic and lasting change.
